This two part workshop series will walk you through 1) distilling your research text into a condensed version more appropriate for a poster, and 2) designing a poster that is both visually appealing and informative.

Poster Presentations : PART 1

From Paper to Poster:  THE TEXT

Bring Your Own Research (BYOR) to this workshop and practice strategies to transform the content of your research paper into a poster presentation. You’ll also get tips for the delivery of your presentation. (If you don’t have your own research, bring any article or paper you’d like to work with.)

DATE:  Tuesday, March 4th, 11:00 am to 12 noon

Poster Presentations : PART 2

From Paper to Poster : The Design

MS Publisher is a great tool to produce a high quality poster. In this workshop for graduate students, use MS Publisher to design a template for your poster. If you attended the previous workshop (From Paper to Poster), bring your posterized content along. Either way, bring a flash drive and you can walk away with the design work for your poster completed!
